Watching the birds in the next yard, daydreaming about my furever home

If I close my eyes, and make a wish, will my furever family come to get me?

I get along great with my foster sisters.

I want to love YOU this much!

I am a Cuddler Extraordinaire

See?

A little to the left. That's good.

Over to the right ... up ... now down ... left ... Aahhhhh.

Are you my new Mommy? No? Can I give you a kiss anyway?

Waiting for my furever family to find me.

Loving the yard

Ariel is always ready to patrol the yard---so much to see, so much to sniff out...
...so many fenced of little areas to jump into---you mean this fencing is supposed to keep me OUT? Me? Moi?

Ariel---Super Ninja Setter Girl!

Hi, it's me---Ariel---or "Aerial" as my foster mommy calls me.

Not only do I know how to REALLY quietly stalk those birds in the backyard...

...but I'm also very adept at walking and balancing on my hindlegs to get my paws on some yummy food on the kitchen counter.

Foster mommy can't even tell that it was me---as I leave everything else perfectly undisturbed. It's a great trick and foster mommy says she's very impressed by my 'bi-pedalling' abilities and calls me Ninja.

Now, I might be willing to give up part of my warrior ways---if only my perfect forever family would come along. Won't you take a good look at me and consider making me part of your family??

WILL YOU BE MY FUTURE?

I can't wait to learn all about doggie manners! I can't wait to meet a new dog buddy! But, most of all, I can't wait to fall in love with you...my new family!

MY LIFE RIGHT NOW

As you can see, I am a beautiful dog that has found herself in an awkward situation. My current family loves me but I really don't fit in with their lifestyle anymore. They are doing their best to keep me safe and healthy.

My mom takes care of her mom and a young grandson. That doesn't leave much time for me. I love to run around and play, which has become a problem. My mom is afraid that I will bump into people. So, I spend my days and night in the screened porch. My neighbor likes to play with me but that has caused a problem. The only way to get to the neighbor's house to play...is to hop over the fence! So ,I need to be kept on a long line so I don't run off.

My family wants me to have the best life possible. So, my mom contacted Illinois Birddog Rescue for help!

A really nice IBR volunteer came to meet me! She thinks that IBR can help me! Of course, my new foster family will teach me better manners. They will smother me with love and I will probably have a dog to play with at my foster home! Yippee!

PAST, PRESENT... FUTURE?

Ariel is a beautiful black and white pedigreed English Field Setter. She is a petite 3 yr. old female that weighs in around 35-40lbs. Ariel has a lot of energy and enthusiasm to share with her new home and would benefit from training and loving attention. Ariel is probably too energetic for very young children, but would love your bigger kids. She is very birdy and a little too interested in cats, though she may do well with dog-savvy felines. What she would dearly love, though, is a doggie friend with which she could romp and play! Ariel is not housebroken, per se, but she does use a large doggie litter pan. I see Ariel fitting in very well in an active home ( with a tall, secure fence) with people and dogs that can give her the attention and snuggles she so richly deserves!
